My name is Sari and I am 52 years old.
A few years ago, my husband died without any warning leaving me with two young children. I struggled to put my children to school as we had no savings.
I worked in a garment factory to help my family survive. However, these last 4 years, I have had back issues so I could not continue my job at the garment factory.
I was able to sew the FAVE bags for Perchaya for a time, but that has stopped the last couple of years.
However, I was happy to be able to sew the aprons, oven mitts, and potholders that were recently shipped to America.
I hope the work will continue as this will give me an income. This small income helps sustain my daily needs and helps with transportation to physical therapy for my back issues. I hope I can continue to sew the aprons, oven mitts, and potholders for Perchaya.
