Stories of Hope: RINA

Hello, my name is Rina, I am 41 years old. I married in 2004 and have 2 sons.

I worked in Jakarta from 2001 to 2010. In 2015, my husband and I started sewing at home. Because we already had children, when I worked in a factory, I felt sorry for them, because there was no one to look after them. So, I decided not to work in the factory anymore, but to help my husband's business at home.

Then during the COVID pandemic, my husband's business was down, but we still needed to live, and the children were also in school. So, it was a difficult time, and I felt a bit sad. So, I was very grateful that my husband's friend offered him a job sewing FAVE bags. Because my house and the All Good Gifts shop are very far away from our home, and I can't drive a vehicle, my husband often went to the shop. My husband learned and then taught me to sew FAVE bags. I was very happy, because during the pandemic I got a lot of income from sewing FAVE bags, and I can use that income to meet our needs and supplement our family's life.

So, we hope and always pray that there will be lots of buyers for FAVE bags and production can continue. I am very happy to be able to sew them, and the income is very helpful for our family, and I can do it at home, too. There is no need to work somewhere away from home. The most important thing is that there is time for us to be able to do it.

Thank You.
